﴿وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّورَ بِمِيثَاقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا﴾
[ النساء: 154]

اور ان سے عہد لینے کو ہم نے ان پر کوہ طور اٹھا کھڑا کیا اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ (شہر کے) دروازے میں (داخل ہونا تو) سجدہ کرتے ہوئے داخل ہونا اور یہ بھی حکم دیا کہ ہفتے کے دن (مچھلیاں پکڑنے) میں تجاویز (یعنی حکم کے خلاف) نہ کرنا۔ غرض ہم نے ان سے مضبوط عہد لیا

اور اِن لوگوں پر طور کو اٹھا کر اِن سے (اُس فرمان کی اطاعت کا) عہد لیا ہم نے اِن کو حکم دیا کہ دروازے میں سجدہ ریز ہوتے ہوئے داخل ہوں ہم نے اِن سے کہا کہ سبت کا قانون نہ توڑو اوراس پر اِن سے پختہ عہد لیا

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(4:154) and We raised the Mount high above them and took from them a covenant *184 (to obey the commandment), and ordered them: 'Enter the gate in the state of prostration.' *185 And We said to them: 'Do not violate the law of the Sabbath', and took from them a firm covenant. *186

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; meaning

WarafaAAna fawqahumu alttoora bimeethaqihim waqulna lahumu odkhuloo albaba sujjadan waqulna lahum la taAAdoo fee alssabti waakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan

English - Sahih International

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly", and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath", and We took from them a solemn covenant.

Quran Hindi translation

और हमने उनके एहद व पैमान की वजह से उनके (सर) पर (कोहे) तूर को लटका दिया और हमने उनसे कहा कि (शहर के) दरवाज़े में सजदा करते हुए दाख़िल हो और हमने (ये भी) कहा कि तुम हफ्ते के दिन (हमारे हुक्म से) तजावुज़ न करना और हमने उनसे बहुत मज़बूत एहदो पैमान ले लिया

আর তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি নেবার উদ্দেশ্যে আমি তাদের উপর তূর পর্বতকে তুলে ধরেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে বলেছিলাম, অবনত মস্তকে দরজায় ঢোক। আর বলেছিলাম, শনিবার দিন সীমালংঘন করো না। এভাবে তাদের কাছ থেকে দৃঢ় অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছিলাম।
