Verse 18 from surah Al-Isra

﴿مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَاهَا مَذْمُومًا مَّدْحُورًا﴾
[ الإسراء: 18]

جو شخص دنیا (کی آسودگی) کا خواہشمند ہو تو ہم اس میں سے جسے چاہتے ہیں اور جتنا چاہتے ہیں جلد دے دیتے ہیں۔ پھر اس کے لئے جہنم کو (ٹھکانا) مقرر کر رکھا ہے۔ جس میں وہ نفرین سن کر اور (درگاہ خدا سے) راندہ ہو کر داخل ہوگا

Surah Al-Isra Full Urdu

(1) یعنی دنیا کے ہر طالب کو دنیا نہیں ملتی، صرف اسی کو ملتی ہے جس کو ہم چاہیں، پھر اس کو بھی اتنی دنیا نہیں جتنی وہ چاہتا ہے بلکہ اتنی ہی ملتی ہے جتنی ہم اس کے لئے فیصلہ کریں۔ لیکن اس دنیا طلبی کا نتیجہ جہنم کا دائمی عذاب اور اس کی رسوائی ہے۔

جو کوئی عاجلہ کا خواہشمند ہو، اسے یہیں ہم دے دیتے ہیں جو کچھ بھی جسے دینا چاہیں، پھر اس کے مقسوم میں جہنم لکھ دیتے ہیں جسے وہ تاپے گا ملامت زدہ اور رحمت سے محروم ہو کر

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(17:18) If a person hankers after the immediate good things of this worldly life, *19 We give him whatever We will; then We condemn such a one to Hell, wherein he will burn, accursed and deprived of mercy. *20

Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it meaning

*19) The Arabic word Ajilah literally means something which can be had immediately, but the Qur'an employs it as a term for "This World" which yields its advantages and results in this worldly life. Its antonym is Akhirat (Hereafter) which will yield its advantages and results after death in the life of the Next World.
*20) The person who does not believe in the life of the Hereafter deserves Hell, because he strives only for the successes and good things of this world and his endeavours are confined to material objects. Consequently, such a person becomes a mere worshipper of this world and adopts wrong conduct, for he has no sense of personal responsibility and accountability to God and ultimately deserves the torment of Hell.

Man kana yureedu alAAajilata AAajjalna lahu feeha ma nashao liman nureedu thumma jaAAalna lahu jahannama yaslaha mathmooman madhooran

English - Sahih International

Whoever should desire the immediate - We hasten for him from it what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, which he will [enter to] burn, censured and banished.

Quran Hindi translation

(और गवाह याहिद की ज़रुरत नहीं) और जो शख़्श दुनिया का ख्वाहाँ हो तो हम जिसे चाहते और जो चाहते हैं उसी दुनिया में सिरदस्त (फ़ौरन) उसे अता करते हैं (मगर) फिर हमने उसके लिए तो जहन्नुम ठहरा ही रखा है कि वह उसमें बुरी हालत से रौंदा हुआ दाख़िल होगा

যে কেউ ইহকাল কামনা করে, আমি সেসব লোককে যা ইচ্ছা সত্ত্বর দিয়ে দেই। অতঃপর তাদের জন্যে জাহান্নাম নির্ধারণ করি। ওরা তাতে নিন্দিত-বিতাড়িত অবস্থায় প্রবেশ করবে।
