Verse 19 from surah Al-Qasas

﴿فَلَمَّا أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِالَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا بِالْأَمْسِ ۖ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ﴾

Ayat With Urdu Translation

جب موسٰی نے ارادہ کیا کہ اس شخص کو جو ان دونوں کا دشمن تھا پکڑ لیں تو وہ (یعنی موسٰی کی قوم کا آدمی) بول اُٹھا کہ جس طرح تم نے کل ایک شخص کو مار ڈالا تھا اسی طرح چاہتے ہو کہ مجھے بھی مار ڈالو۔ تم تو یہی چاہتے ہو کہ ملک میں ظلم وستم کرتے پھرو اور یہ نہیں چاہتے ہو کہ نیکو کاروں میں ہو

Surah Al-Qasas Full Urdu

(1) یعنی حضرت موسیٰ (عليه السلام) نے چاہا کہ قبطی کو پکڑ لیں، کیونکہ وہی حضرت موسیٰ (عليه السلام) اور بنی اسرائیل کا دشمن تھا، تاکہ لڑائی زیادہ نہ بڑھے۔
(2) فریادی (اسرائیلی) سمجھا کہ موسیٰ (عليه السلام) شاید اسے پکڑنے لگے ہیں تو وہ بول اٹھا کہ اے موسیٰ ! أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَقْتُلَنِي ...... جس سے قبطی کے علم میں یہ بات آگئی کہ کل جو قتل ہوا تھا، اس کا قاتل موسیٰ (عليه السلام) ہے، اس نے جاکر فرعون کو بتلا دیا جس پر فرعون نے اس کے بدلے میں موسیٰ (عليه السلام) کو قتل کرنے کا عزم کرلیا۔

Surah Qasas Ayat 19 meaning in urdu

پھر جب موسیٰؑ نے ارادہ کیا کہ دشمن قوم کے آدمی پر حملہ کرے تو وہ پکار اٹھا "اے موسیٰؑ، کیا آج تو مجھے اُسی طرح قتل کرنے لگا ہے جس طرح کل ایک شخص کو قتل کر چکا ہے، تو اس ملک میں جبّار بن کر رہنا چاہتا ہے، اصلاح نہیں کرنا چاہتا"

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(28:19) Then, when Moses was about to assault the man, who was their enemy, *28 he cried out, *29 "O Moses! would you kill me today just as you killed a person yesterday? You certainly wish to become a tyrant in the land and reform nothing."

And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy meaning

*28) Here, the Biblical version is different from the Qur'anic. The Bible says that the fight on the next day was between two Israelites, but according to the Qur'an this fight also was between an Israelite and an Egyptian. This second version seems to be credible, for the manner in which the secret of the murder of the tirst day became known, as is being mentioned below, could be possible only if a member of the Coptic community had come to know of the matter. An Israelite's knowledge of it could not be so treacherous: he could not have gone to inform the Pharaonic government of such a heinous crime committed by the prince, who was a great supporter of his own community.
*29) The one who cried out was the same Israelite whom the Prophet Moses wanted to help against the enemy. When after scolding and rebuking him, he turned to assault the Egyptian, the Israelite thought that Moses was going to strike him; therefore, he raised a hue and cry and disclosed the secret of the previous day's murder by this own folly.

Falamma an arada an yabtisha biallathee huwa AAaduwwun lahuma qala ya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qatalta nafsan bialamsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaran fee alardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheena

English - Sahih International

And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to both of them, he said, "O Moses, do you intend to kill me as you killed someone yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land and do not want to be of the amenders."

Quran Hindi translation

ग़रज़ जब मूसा ने चाहा कि उस शख्स पर जो दोनों का दुश्मन था (छुड़ाने के लिए) हाथ बढ़ाएँ तो क़िब्ती कहने लगा कि ऐ मूसा जिस तरह तुमने कल एक आदमी को मार डाला (उसी तरह) मुझे भी मार डालना चाहते हो तो तुम बस ये चाहते हो कि रुए ज़मीन में सरकश बन कर रहो और मसलह (क़ौम) बनकर रहना नहीं चाहते

Quran Bangla tarjuma

অতঃপর মূসা যখন উভয়ের শত্রুকে শায়েস্তা করতে চাইলেন, তখন সে বলল, গতকল্য তুমি যেমন এক ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করেছিলে, সে রকম আমাকেও কি হত্যা করতে চাও? তুমি তো পৃথিবীতে স্বৈরাচারী হতে চাচ্ছ এবং সন্ধি স্থাপনকারী হতে চাও না।
