﴿وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ﴾
[ البلد: 2]

اور تم اسی شہر میں تو رہتے ہو

Surah Al-Balad Full Urdu

(1) یہ اشارہ ہے اس وقت کی طرف جب مکہ فتح ہوا، اس وقت اللہ نے نبی (صلى الله عليه وسلم) کے لئے اس بلد حرام میں قتال کو حلال فرما دیا تھا جب کہ اس میں لڑائی کی اجازت نہیں ہے چنانچہ حدیث میں ہے، نبی (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے فرمایا (اس شہر کو اللہ نے اس وقت سے حرمت والا بنایا ہے، جب سے اس نے آسمان وزمین پیدا کیے۔ پس یہ اللہ کی ٹھہرائی ہوئی حرمت سے قیامت تک حرام ہے، نہ اس کا درخت کاٹا جائے نہ اس کے کانٹے اکھیڑے جائیں، میرے لئے اسے صرف دن کی ایک ساعت کے لئے حلال کیا گیا تھا اور آج اس کی حرمت پھر اسی طرح لوٹ آئی ہے، جیسے کل تھی ۔۔۔ اگر کوئی یہاں قتال کے لئے دلیل میں میری لڑائی کو پیش کرے تو اس سےکہو کہ اللہ کے رسول کو تو اس کی اجازت اللہ نے دی تھی جب کہ تمہیں یہ اجازت اس نے نہیں دی)۔ ( صحيح بخاري، كتاب العلم ، باب ليبلغ الشاهد منكم الغائب- مسلم، كتاب الحج، باب تحريم مكة ...) اس اعتبار سے معنی ہوں گے وَأَنْتَ حِلٌّ بِهَذَا الْبَلَدِ فِي الْمُسْتَقْبَلِ یہ جملہ معترضہ ہے۔

Surah Balad Ayat 2 meaning in urdu

اور حال یہ ہے کہ (اے نبیؐ) اِس شہر میں تم کو حلال کر لیا گیا ہے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(90:2) ' this city wherein you have been rendered violable' *3

And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city - meaning

*3) Three meanings of the words in the Text have been given by the commentators: (1) "That you are a resident of this city and your residence here has further enhanced the glory of this city"; (2) "that although this city is a sanctuary; a time will come when for some time it will become lawful for you to fight and kill the enemies of the true Faith here; and, (3) "that in this city where even killing of animals and cutting of trees is forbidden for the people of Arabia, and where everyone is living in perfect peace, you, O Prophet, have no peace, and persecuting you and devising plans to kill you has been made lawful." Although the words are comprehensive enough to cover all the three meanings, yet when the theme that follows is considered, one feels that the first two meanings bear no relevance to it, and only the third meaning seems to be correct.
