﴿فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَا لَيْتَنِي مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا﴾
[ مريم: 23]

پھر درد زہ ان کو کھجور کے تنے کی طرف لے آیا۔ کہنے لگیں کہ کاش میں اس سے پہلے مرچکتی اور بھولی بسری ہوگئی ہوتی

Surah Maryam Full Urdu

(1) موت کی آرزو اس ڈر سے کی کہ میں بچے کے مسئلے پر لوگوں کو کس طرح مطمئن کر سکوں گی، جب کہ میری بات کی کوئی تصدیق کرنے کے لئے تیار ہی نہیں ہوگا۔ اور یہ تصور بھی روح فرسا تھا کہ کہاں شہرت ایک عابدہ وزاہدہ کے طور پر ہے اور اس کے بعد لوگوں کی نظروں میں بدکار ٹھہروں گی۔

پھر زچگی کی تکلیف نے اُسے ایک کھُجور کے درخت کے نیچے پہنچا دیا وہ کہنے لگی " کاش میں اس سے پہلے ہی مر جاتی اور میرا نام و نشان نہ رہتا"

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(19:23) Then the throes of childbirth urged her to take shelter under a date palm. There she began to cry, "Oh! would that I had died before this and sunk into oblivion. " *17

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a meaning

*17) The words "Would that..." show the extreme state of anxiety in which Mary found herself at the time. She did not utter these words on account of the labour pains but due to the pangs of sorrow as to how she would conceal the child from her people. The angel's words---"Grieve not at all"-explain why she had spoken these desperate words. When a married girl is delivering her first baby, she might be dying with pains, but she is never so sorrowful and grieved.

Faajaaha almakhadu ila jithAAi alnnakhlati qalat ya laytanee mittu qabla hatha wakuntu nasyan mansiyyan

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."

फिर (जब जनने का वक्त ़क़रीब आया तो दरदे ज़ह) उन्हें एक खजूर के (सूखे) दरख्त की जड़ में ले आया और (बेकसी में शर्म से) कहने लगीं काश मैं इससे पहले मर जाती और (न पैद होकर)

প্রসব বেদনা তাঁকে এক খেজুর বৃক্ষ-মূলে আশ্রয় নিতে বাধ্য করল। তিনি বললেনঃ হায়, আমি যদি কোনরূপে এর পূর্বে মরে যেতাম এবং মানুষের স্মৃতি থেকে বিলুপ্ত হয়ে, যেতাম!
