﴿وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ﴾
[ الشعراء: 39]

اور لوگوں سے کہہ دیا گیا کہ تم (سب) کو اکھٹے ہو کر جانا چاہیئے

اور لوگوں سے کہا گیا "تم اجتماع میں چلو گے؟

(26:39) and the people were asked, "Would you come to the gathering? *32

And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate meaning

*32) That is, besides proclamation heralds were sent to urge the people to come and see the contest. It appears that the news of the miracle shown by Prophet Moses before the packed court had reached the common people also, and Pharaoh fearing that the people at large might be influenced, wanted that they should come together in large numbers so that they could see for themselves that turning a staff into a snake had nothing extraordinary in it because such a trick could be performed by every common magician of their own country as well.

  3. جس دن زمین اور پہاڑ کانپنے لگیں اور پہاڑ ایسے بھر بھرے (گویا) ریت کے
  4. ابراہیم نے کہا کہ جب تم ان کو پکارتے ہو تو کیا وہ تمہاری آواز
  5. بھلا دیکھو تو کہ جو پانی تم پیتے ہو
  6. عنقریب یہ جماعت شکست کھائے گی اور یہ لوگ پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ جائیں گے
  7. اور جب خدا نے پیغمبروں سے عہد لیا کہ جب میں تم کو کتاب اور
  8. مگر اس کو جو جہنم میں جانے والا ہے
  9. انہوں نے کہا کہ (اب کے) پروردگار سے پھر درخواست کیجئے کہ ہم کو بتا
  10. (یعنی) جو بہشت کی میراث حاصل کریں گے۔ اور اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے
