﴿إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ﴾
[ الليل: 4]

کہ تم لوگوں کی کوششں طرح طرح کی ہے

Surah Al-Layl Full Urdu

(1) یعنی کوئی اچھے عمل کرتا ہے، جس کا صلہ جنت ہے اور کوئی برے عمل کرتا ہے جس کا بدلہ جہنم ہے۔ یہ جواب قسم ہے شَتَّى، شَتِيتٌ کی جمع ہے، جیسے مَرِيضٌ کی جمع مَرْضَى۔

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(92:4) surely your strivings are divergent. *1

Indeed, your efforts are diverse. meaning

*1) This is that for which an oath has been sworn by the night and the day, and the creation of the male and the female. It means to say: Just as the night and the day, and the male and the female, are different from each other, and their effects and results are mutually contradictory, so are the aims and objects for which men are endeavouring and struggling; different in their nature and contradictory with regard to their results. In the following verses, it has been told that all these divided endeavours are divided into two main kinds.

  3. اور ان لوگوں کی نماز خانہٴ کعبہ کے پاس سیٹیاں اور تالیاں بجانے کے سوا
  4. میں نے سب سے یکسو ہو کر اپنے تئیں اسی ذات کی طرف متوجہ کیا
  5. اور جب خدا کے بندے (محمدﷺ) اس کی عبادت کو کھڑے ہوئے تو کافر ان
  6. مگر داہنی طرف والے (نیک لوگ)
  7. اور اگر تو مجھے قتل کرنے کے لیے مجھ پر ہاتھ چلائے گا تو میں
  8. اور (کافر) کہتے ہیں کہ اس پر اس کے پروردگار کی طرف سے نشانیاں کیوں
  9. انہوں نے اپنے باپ دادا کو گمراہ ہی پایا
  10. ہم بھی اپنے موکلانِ دوزخ کو بلا لیں گے
