﴿إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ﴾
[ الليل: 4]

کہ تم لوگوں کی کوششں طرح طرح کی ہے

Surah Al-Layl Full Urdu

(1) یعنی کوئی اچھے عمل کرتا ہے، جس کا صلہ جنت ہے اور کوئی برے عمل کرتا ہے جس کا بدلہ جہنم ہے۔ یہ جواب قسم ہے شَتَّى، شَتِيتٌ کی جمع ہے، جیسے مَرِيضٌ کی جمع مَرْضَى۔

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(92:4) surely your strivings are divergent. *1

Indeed, your efforts are diverse. meaning

*1) This is that for which an oath has been sworn by the night and the day, and the creation of the male and the female. It means to say: Just as the night and the day, and the male and the female, are different from each other, and their effects and results are mutually contradictory, so are the aims and objects for which men are endeavouring and struggling; different in their nature and contradictory with regard to their results. In the following verses, it has been told that all these divided endeavours are divided into two main kinds.

  3. کہہ دو کہ خدا نے سچ فرمایا دیا پس دین ابراہیم کی پیروی کرو جو
  4. جب تم ان کے پاس واپس جاؤ گے تو تم سے عذر کریں گے تم
  5. جو لوگ کافر ہیں ان کا اعتقاد ہے کہ وہ (دوبارہ) ہرگز نہیں اٹھائے جائیں
  6. جس نے ہر چیز کو بہت اچھی طرح بنایا (یعنی) اس کو پیدا کیا۔ اور
  7. ان کے قصے میں عقلمندوں کے لیے عبرت ہے۔ یہ (قرآن) ایسی بات نہیں ہے
  8. ان کے اوپر تو آگ کے سائبان ہوں گے اور نیچے (اس کے) فرش ہوں
  9. اور دونوں شخصوں میں سے جس کی نسبت (یوسف نے) خیال کیا کہ وہ رہائی
  10. تو جو مومن تھا وہ کہنے لگا کہ اے قوم مجھے تمہاری نسبت خوف ہے
