Verse 115 from surah Al-Baqarah

﴿وَلِلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ ۚ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ﴾
[ البقرة: 115]

اور مشرق اور مغرب سب خدا ہی کا ہے۔ تو جدھر تم رخ کرو۔ ادھر خدا کی ذات ہے۔ بے شک خدا صاحبِ وسعت اور باخبر ہے

Surah Al-Baqarah Full Urdu

(1) ہجرت کے بعد جب مسلمان بیت المقدس کی طرف رخ کرکے نماز پڑھتے تھے تو مسلمانوں کو اس کا رنج تھا، اس موقع پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی۔ بعض کہتے ہیں اس وقت نازل ہوئی جب بیت المقدس سے، پھر خانہ کعبہ کی طرف رخ کرنے کا حکم ہوا تو یہودیوں نے طرح طرح کی باتیں بنائیں، بعض کے نزدیک اس کے نزول کا سبب سفر میں سواری پر نفل نماز پڑھنے کی اجازت ہے کہ سواری کا منہ کدھر بھی ہو، نماز پڑھ سکتے ہو۔ کبھی چند اسباب جمع ہوجاتے ہیں اور ان سب کے حکم کے لئے ایک ہی آیت نازل ہوجاتی ہے۔ ایسی آیتوں کے شان نزول میں متعدد روایات مروی ہوتی ہیں، کسی روایت میں ایک سبب نزول کا بیان ہوتا ہے اور کسی میں دوسرے کا۔ یہ آیت بھی اسی قسم کی ہے (ملخص از احسن التفاسیر)۔

(2:115) The East and the West, all belong to Allah: you will face Allah in whichsoever direction you turn your face: *115 Allah is All-Embracing and All-Knowing. *116

And to Allah belongs the east and the west. So wherever you meaning

*115). God is neither eastern nor western. East and west, north and south, and indeed all places and directions are His, though He is not confined to any particular place or direction. Hence, if any place or direction is fixed for worship this does not mean that God dwells there. Likewise, changes in the direction of Prayer is not a proper subject for controversy and dispute.
*116). That is, God is neither limited, mean, narrow-minded, nor poor in resources. All such notions about God, which arise from considering Him as essentially similar to human beings, are erroneous. God's realm is boundless and so is His vision and the range of His benevolence and mercy. Moreover, God's knowledge is all-embracing. He knows who remembers Him, as well as where, when and why he does that.

Walillahi almashriqu waalmaghribu faaynama tuwalloo fathamma wajhu Allahi inna Allaha wasiAAun AAaleemun

And to Allah belongs the east and the west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

(तुम्हारे मसजिद में रोकने से क्या होता है क्योंकि सारी ज़मीन) खुदा ही की है (क्या) पूरब (क्या) पश्चिम बस जहाँ कहीं क़िब्ले की तरफ रूख़ करो वही खुदा का सामना है बेशक खुदा बड़ी गुन्जाइश वाला और खूब वाक़िफ है

  8. تو انہوں نے اس کی کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں پھر نادم ہوئے
  9. تو ہم نے ان کو اور ان کے گھر والوں کو نجات دی۔ مگر ان
  10. اور جو (بھید) دلوں میں ہیں وہ ظاہر کر دیئے جائیں گے
