﴿إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ﴾
[ يس: 29]

وہ تو صرف ایک چنگھاڑ تھی (آتشین) سو وہ (اس سے) ناگہاں بجھ کر رہ گئے

Surah Ya-Sin Full Urdu

(1) کہتے ہیں کہ جبرائیل (عليه السلام) نے ایک چیخ ماری، جس سے سب کے جسموں سے روحیں نکل گئیں اور وہ بجھی آگ کی طرح ہوگئے۔ گویا زندگی، شعلۂ فروزاں ہے اور موت، اس کا بجھ کر راکھ کا ڈھیر ہو جانا۔

بس ایک دھماکہ ہوا اور یکایک وہ سب بجھ کر رہ گئے


Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(36:29) There was but a single Blast and suddenly they became silent and still. *24

It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished. meaning

*24) These words contain a subtle satire. In their arrogance and pride of power and their strong antagonism towards the true faith, they thought they would annihilate the three Prophets and their followers, but, contrary to their plot, they were themselves annihilated by only one stroke of the Divine punishment.

  4. ان سے پہلے نوحؑ کی قوم نے بھی تکذیب کی تھی تو انہوں نے ہمارے
  5. لیکن جس نے توبہ کی اور ایمان لایا اور عمل نیک کئے تو اُمید ہے
  6. اور جس بستی (والوں) کو ہم نے ہلاک کردیا محال ہے کہ (وہ دنیا کی
  7. کیا (یہ نہیں کہ) ہم (آئندہ کبھی) مرنے کے نہیں
  8. (وہ یہ تھا) کہ اسے (یعنی موسیٰ کو) صندوق میں رکھو پھر اس (صندوق) کو
  9. پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے ایک اور جماعت پیدا کی
  10. ہاں ہاں (ہمیں) چاند کی قسم
