Verse 44 from surah Al-Anbiya

﴿بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا ۚ أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 44]

Ayat With Urdu Translation

بلکہ ہم ان لوگوں کو اور ان کے باپ دادا کو متمتع کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ (اسی حالت میں) ان کی عمریں بسر ہوگئیں۔ کیا یہ نہیں دیکھتے کہ ہم زمین کو اس کے کناروں سے گھٹاتے چلے آتے ہیں۔ تو کیا یہ لوگ غلبہ پانے والے ہیں؟

Surah Al-Anbiya Full Urdu

(1) یعنی ان کی یا ان کے آبا واجداد، کی زندگیاں اگر عیش و راحت میں گزر گئیں تو کیا وہ یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ وہ صحیح راستے پر ہیں؟ اور آئندہ بھی انہیں کچھ نہیں ہوگا؟ نہیں بلکہ یہ چند روزہ زندگی کا آرام تو ہمارے اصول مہلت کا ایک حصہ ہے، اس سے کسی کو دھوکا اور فریب میں مبتلا نہیں ہونا چاہئے۔
(2) یعنی ارض کفر بتدریج گھٹ رہی ہے اور دولت اسلام وسعت پذیر ہے۔ کفر کے پیروں تلے سے زمین کھسک رہی ہے اور اسلام کا غلبہ بڑھ رہا ہے اور مسلمان علاقے پر علاقہ فتح کرتے چلے جا رہے ہیں۔
(3) یعنی کفر کو سمٹتا اور اسلام کو بڑھتا ہوا دیکھ کر بھی، کیا وہ کافر یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ وہ غالب ہیں؟ استفہام انکاری ہے۔ یعنی وہ غالب نہیں، مغلوب ہیں، فاتح نہیں، مفتوح ہیں، معزز و سر فراز نہیں، ذلت اور خواری ان کا مقدر ہے۔

Surah Al Anbiya Ayat 44 meaning in urdu

اصل بات یہ ہے کہ اِن لوگوں کو اور اِن کے آباء و اجداد کو ہم زندگی کا سر و سامان دیے چلے گئے یہاں تک کہ اِن کو دن لگ گئے مگر کیا اِنہیں نظر نہیں آتا کہ ہم زمین کو مختلف سمتوں سے گھٹاتے چلے آ رہے ہیں؟ پھر کیا یہ غالب آ جائیں گے؟

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(21:44) The fact is that We provided them and their forefathers with provisions of life until the period grew too long for them. *44 But can they not see that We are coming in the land, shrinking its boundaries for them on all sides? *45 Do they, then, expect to come out victorious (over Us)? *46

But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] meaning

*44) In other words it means: "These people have been deluded by Our favour and Our provisions. They think they are enjoying prosperity and good life as their personal right and there is none to take it away from them. They have forgotten that there is God above them Who is able to make or mar their fortune".
*45) In this connection, see Ar-Ra`d (XIII): 41 and E. N. 60 thereof. Here it bears an additional meaning also: "Do they not see that an All-Powerful Being is showing His Signs every now and then everywhere on the earth in the form of famines, epidemics, floods, earthquakes and other calamities; millions of people are killed, habitations and harvests are destroyed and other damages are caused, which frustrate all human designs?"
*46) It means: "When they know that all the resources and provisions of life are in Our hands and that We can increase or decrease them as We will, have they the power and strength to defend themselves against Our punishment? Can they not see from these "Signs" that their power, prosperity and luxury are not everlasting and that there is an All-Powerful Allah to seize and punish them?"

Bal mattaAAna haolai waabaahum hatta tala AAalayhimu alAAumuru afala yarawna anna natee alarda nanqusuha min atrafiha afahumu alghaliboona

English - Sahih International

But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So it is they who will overcome?

Quran Hindi translation

बल्कि हम ही ने उनको और उनके बुर्जुग़ों को आराम व चैन रहा यहाँ तक कि उनकी उम्रें बढ़ गई तो फिर क्या ये लोग नहीं देखते कि हम रूए ज़मीन को चारों तरफ से क़ब्ज़ा करते और उसको फतेह करते चले आते हैं तो क्या (अब भी यही लोग कुफ्फ़ारे मक्का) ग़ालिब और वर हैं

বরং আমি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের বাপ-দাদাকে ভোগসম্বার দিয়েছিলাম, এমনকি তাদের আয়ুস্কালও দীর্ঘ হয়েছিল। তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি তাদের দেশকে চতুর্দিক থেকে হ্রাস করে আনছি। এরপরও কি তারা বিজয়ী হবে?
