Surah taghabun Ayat 5 in Urdu - سورہ تغابن کی آیت نمبر 5
﴿أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ﴾
[ التغابن: 5]
کیا تم کو ان لوگوں کے حال کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جو پہلے کافر ہوئے تھے تو انہوں نے اپنے کاموں کی سزا کا مزہ چکھ لیا اور (ابھی) دکھ دینے والا عذاب (اور) ہونا ہے
Surah At-Taghabun Full Urdu
(1) یہ اہل مکہ سے بالخصوص اور کفار عرب سے بالعموم خطاب ہے۔ اور ماقبل کافروں سے مراد قوم نوح، قوم عاد، قوم ثمود وغیرہ ہیں۔ جنہیں ان کے کفر ومعصیت کی وجہ سے دنیا میں عذاب سے دو چار کرکے تباہ وبرباد کر دیا گیا۔
(2) یعنی دنیوی عذاب کے علاوہ آخرت میں۔

کیا تمہیں اُن لوگوں کی کوئی خبر نہیں پہنچی جنہوں نے اِس سے پہلے کفر کیا اور پھر اپنی شامت اعمال کا مزہ چکھ لیا؟ اور آگے اُن کے لیے ایک دردناک عذاب ہے
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(64:5) Has the news of the unbelievers of the past not reached you? (They disbelieved) and then tasted its evil consequence. A grievous chastisement awaits them. *10
Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved meaning
*10) That is, "The evil that they tasted in the world in consequence of their misdeeds was neither the real punishment of their crimes nor the full punishment. The real and full punishment they have yet to suffer in the Hereafter. However, the people can learn a lesson from the torment that visited them. They can see how the nations which adopted an attitude of unbelief against their Lord, went an degenerating and consequently met with an evil and disgraceful end." Has there not come to you the news of those who disbelieved before? So they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.

क्या तुम्हें उनकी ख़बर नहीं पहुँची जिन्होंने (तुम से) पहले कुफ़्र किया तो उन्होने अपने काम की सज़ा का (दुनिया में) मज़ा चखा और (आख़िरत में तो) उनके लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है
