﴿وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ﴾
[ الصافات: 57]

اور اگر میرے پروردگار کی مہربانی نہ ہوتی تو میں بھی ان میں ہوتا جو (عذاب میں) حاضر کئے گئے ہیں

Surah As-Saaffat Full Urdu

(1) یعنی جھانکنے پر اسے جہنم کے وسط میں وہ شخص نظر آجائے گا اور اسے یہ جنتی کہے گا کہ مجھے بھی تو گمراہ کرکے ہلاکت میں ڈالنے لگا تھا، یہ تو مجھ پر اللہ کا احسان ہوا، ورنہ آج میں بھی تیرے ساتھ جہنم میں ہوتا۔

میرے رب کا فضل شامل حال نہ ہوتا تو آج میں بھی اُن لوگوں میں سے ہوتا جو پکڑے ہوئے آئے ہیں

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(37:57) But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. *32

If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been meaning

*32) This shows how powerful will be man's hearing, seeing and speaking powers in the Hereafter. Sitting in Paradise he bends his head a little and is able to see a person, who is undergoing torment thousands of miles away in Hell, without the agency of a television set. Then, they not only just see each other, but also commune with each other directly without the medium of the telephone or radio and they speak and hear each other over vast distances.

और अगर मेरे परवरदिगार का एहसान न होता तो मैं भी (इस वक्त) तेरी तरह जहन्नुम में गिरफ्तार किया गया होता
