﴿وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ﴾
[ الصافات: 76]

اور ہم نے ان کو اور ان کے گھر والوں کو بڑی مصیبت سے نجات دی

Surah As-Saaffat Full Urdu

(1) أَهْلٌ سے مراد، حضرت نوح (عليه السلام) پر ایمان لانے والے ہیں، جن میں ان کے گھر کے افراد بھی ہیں جو مومن تھے۔ بعض مفسرین نے ان کی کل تعداد 8۔ بتلائی ہے۔ اس میں آپ کی بیوی اور ایک لڑکا شامل نہیں، جو مومن نہیں تھے، وہ بھی طوفان میں غرق ہو گئے۔ کرب عظیم (زبردست مصیبت) سے مراد وہی سیلاب عظیم ہے جس میں یہ قوم غرق ہوئی۔

Surah Saffat Ayat 76 meaning in urdu

ہم نے اُس کو اور اس کے گھر والوں کو کرب عظیم سے بچا لیا

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(37:76) We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; *41

And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. meaning

*41) That is, from the severe distress that was being caused to him on account of the continuous opposition and antagonism of a wicked and cruel people. This also contains a subtle allusion that just as the Prophet Noah and his companions were saved from the great distress, so also shall We ultimately save the Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be Allah's peace) and his Companions from the great distress that is being caused to them by the people of Makkah.

Wanajjaynahu waahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheemi

And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
