Verse 15 from surah Al-Hajj

﴿مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُ مَا يَغِيظُ﴾
[ الحج: 15]

Ayat With Urdu Translation

جو شخص یہ گمان کرتا ہے کہ خدا اس کو دنیا اور آخرت میں مدد نہیں دے گا تو اس کو چاہیئے کہ اوپر کی طرف (یعنی اپنے گھر کی چھت میں) ایک رسی باندھے پھر (اس سے اپنا) گلا گھونٹ لے۔ پھر دیکھے کہ آیا یہ تدبیر اس کے غصے کو دور کردیتی ہے

Surah Al-Hajj Full Urdu

(1) اس کے ایک معنی تو یہ کئے گئے ہیں کہ ایسا شخص، جو یہ چاہتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنے پیغمبر (صلى الله عليه وسلم) کی مدد نہ کرے، کیونکہ اس کے غلبہ و فتح سے اسے تکلیف ہوتی ہے، تو وہ اپنے گھر کی چھت پر رسی لٹکا کر اور اپنے گلے میں اس کا پھندا لے کر اپنا گلا گھونٹ لے، شاید یہ خود کشی اسے غیظ و غضب سے بچا لے جو محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) کے بڑھتے ہوئے اثر و رسوخ کو دیکھ کر اپنے دل میں پاتا ہے۔ اس صورت میں سماء سے مراد گھر کی چھت ہوگی۔ دوسرے معنی ہیں کہ ایک رسہ لے کر آسمان پر چڑھ جائے اور آسمان سے جو وحی یا مدد آتی ہے، اس کا سلسلہ ختم کرا دے (اگر وہ کر سکتا ہے) اور دیکھے کہ کیا اس کے بعد اس کا کلیجہ ٹھنڈا ہو گیا ہے؟ امام ابن کثیر نے پہلے مفہوم کو اور امام شوکانی نے دوسرے مفہوم کو زیادہ پسند کیا ہے اور سیاق سے یہی دوسرا مفہوم زیادہ قریب لگتا ہے۔

Surah Al Hajj Ayat 15 meaning in urdu

جو شخص یہ گمان رکھتا ہو کہ اللہ دُنیا اور آخرت میں اُس کی کوئی مدد نہ کرے گا اُسے چاہیے کہ ایک رسّی کے ذریعے آسمان تک پہنچ کر شگاف لگائے، پھر دیکھ لے کہ آیا اُس کی تدبیر کسی ایسی چیز کو رد کر سکتی ہے جو اس کو ناگوار ہے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(22:15) As for the one who presumes that Allah will neither help him in this world nor in the Hereafter, he should (if he can) ascend the sky by a rope and cut a hole into it and then peep through it and see for himself whether any device of his can avert his doom, which he abhors *22

Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this meaning

*22) There is a great divergence of opinion about the exact meaning of this verse. Some of the interpretations are:
(1) One who presumes that Allah will not help him (Muhammad: Allah's peace be upon him), he should hang himself by a rope from the ceiling.
(2) One who presumes that Allah will not help him (Muhammad: Allah's peace be upon him), he should ascend thesky by a rope and try to stop Allah's help.
(3) One who presumes that Allah will not help him (Muhammad: Allah's peace be upon him), he should ascend the sky and stop the process of Revelations.
(4) One who presumes that Allah will not help him (Muhammad: Allah's peace be upon him), he should ascend the sky and stop his provisions.
(5) The one who presumes that Allah will not help him (the presumer himself), he should hang himself by a rope from the ceiling of his house.
(6) The one who presumes that Allah will not help him (the presumer himself), he should try to ascend the sky to seek help.
The first four interpretations are obviously irrelevant to the context, and the last two, though they might fit in with the context, do not explain the real meaning of the verse. If we consider this in the context, it becomes obvious that the one who presumes is "the one who serves Allah standing on the border" . This is to rebuke him, as if to say, "You may do whatever you can to change the decrees of Allah, but you will see that no device of yours can succeed, whether these decrees are favourable to your designs or unfavourable to them. " Obviously, "he should ascend the sky ...... cut a hole into it" has not been used in the literal but in the figurative sense.

Man kana yathunnu an lan yansurahu Allahu fee alddunya waalakhirati falyamdud bisababin ila alssamai thumma liyaqtaAA falyanthur hal yuthhibanna kayduhu ma yagheethu

English - Sahih International

Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?

जो शख्स (गुस्से में) ये बदगुमानी करता है कि दुनिया और आख़ेरत में खुदा उसकी हरग़िज मदद न करेगा तो उसे चाहिए कि आसमान तक रस्सी ताने (और अपने गले में फाँसी डाल दे) फिर उसे काट दे (ताकि घुट कर मर जाए) फिर देखिए कि जो चीज़ उसे गुस्से में ला रही थी उसे उसकी तद्बीर दूर दफ़ा कर देती है

Quran Bangla tarjuma

সে ধারণা করে যে, আল্লাহ কখনই ইহকালে ও পরকালে রাসূলকে সাহায্য করবেন না, সে একটি রশি আকাশ পর্যন্ত ঝুলিয়ে নিক; এরপর কেটে দিক; অতঃপর দেখুক তার এই কৌশল তার আক্রোশ দূর করে কিনা।
