﴿وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ﴾

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو کتاب (ہدایت) اور حکومت اور نبوت بخشی اور پاکیزہ چیزیں عطا فرمائیں اور اہل عالم پر فضیلت دی

Surah Al-Jaathiyah Full Urdu

(1) کتاب سے مراد تورات، حکم سے حکومت وبادشاہت یا فہم وقضا کی وہ صلاحیت ہے جو فصل خصومات اور لوگوں کے درمیان فیصلے کرنے کے لیے ضروری ہے۔
(2) وہ روزیاں جو ان کے لیے حلال تھیں اور ان ہی میں من وسلویٰ کا نزول بھی تھا۔
(3) یعنی ان کے زمانے کے اعتبار سے۔

اِس سے پہلے بنی اسرائیل کو ہم نے کتاب اور حکم اور نبوت عطا کی تھی اُن کو ہم نے عمدہ سامان زیست سے نوازا، دنیا بھر کے لوگوں پر انہیں فضیلت عطا کی


Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(45:16) Indeed We endowed the Children of Israel with the Book and Wisdom *20 and Prophethood, and provided them with good things *21 as sustenance, and exalted them above the peoples of the whole world.

And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and meaning

*20) Hukm (judgement) implies three things: (1) Knowledge and understanding of the Book and Religion; (2) wisdom to act according to the intention of the Book; and (3) capability to give right decisions in disputes.
*21) It does not mean that they were given preference over all the people of the world for ever, rather it means: Allah had chosen the children of Israel from among all the contemporary nations of the world for the service that they should hold fast to the Divine Book and should rise as the standard-bearers of God-worship in the world.

Walaqad atayna banee israeela alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala alAAalameena

And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds.

और हमने बनी इसराईल को किताब (तौरेत) और हुकूमत और नबूवत अता की और उन्हें उम्दा उम्दा चीज़ें खाने को दीं और उनको सारे जहॉन पर फ़ज़ीलत दी

  6. (یعنی) فرمایا کہ اسی میں تمہارا جینا ہوگا اور اسی میں مرنا اور اسی میں
  7. (اور ایک وقت تھا) جب ہم نے ابراہیم کے لئے خانہ کعبہ کو مقرر کیا
  8. اور جس دن (خدا) ان کو اور اُن کو جنہیں یہ خدا کے سوا پوجتے
  9. جس طرح (منجملہ اور نعمتوں کے) ہم نے تم میں تمھیں میں سے ایک رسول
  10. جو لوگ خدا اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرتے ہیں وہ نہایت ذلیل ہوں
