﴿۞ فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا﴾
[ مريم: 59]

پھر ان کے بعد چند ناخلف ان کے جانشیں ہوئے جنہوں نے نماز کو (چھوڑ دیا گویا اسے) کھو دیا۔ اور خواہشات نفسانی کے پیچھے لگ گئے۔ سو عنقریب ان کو گمراہی (کی سزا) ملے گی

Surah Maryam Full Urdu

(1) انعام یافتہ بندگان الٰہی کا تذکرہ کرنے کے بعد ان لوگوں کا ذکر کیا جا رہا ہے، جو ان کے برعکس اللہ کے احکام سے غفلت واعراض کرنے والے ہیں۔ نماز ضائع کرنے سے مراد یا تو بالکل نماز کا ترک ہے جو کفر ہے یا ان کے اوقات کو ضائع کرنا ہے یعنی وقت پر نماز نہ پڑھنا، جب جی چاہا، نماز پڑھ لی، یا بلا عذر اکٹھی کر کے پڑھنا کبھی دو، کبھی چار، کبھی ایک اور کبھی پانچوں نمازیں۔ یہ بھی تمام صورتیں نماز ضائع کرنے کی ہیں جس کا مرتکب سخت گناہ گار اور آیت میں بیان کردہ وعید کا سزاوار ہو سکتا ہے۔ غَيًّا کے معنی ہلاکت، انجام بد کے ہیں یا جہنم کی ایک وادی کا نام ہے۔

پھر ان کے بعد وہ ناخلف لوگ ان کے جانشین ہوئے جنہوں نے نماز کو ضائع کیا اور خواہشاتِ نفس کی پیروی کی، پس قریب ہے کہ وہ گمراہی کے انجام سے دوچار ہوں


Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(19:59) Then there came after them those degenerate people, who lost their Salat *35 and followed their lusts: *36 so they shall soon encounter the consequences of their deviation.

But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; meaning

*35) It appears that the degenerate people totally discarded Salat, or they had become neglectful and careless in its observance. This is the first evil that is committed by a degenerate people; for, after this there remains no connection whatever between them and God. Here it has been stated as a universal principle that the degeneration of the people of all the former Prophets started with the abandonment of Salat by them.
*36) This was the inevitable result of the loss of the connection with Allah. As they became more and more neglectful of their Salat, their lusts took complete hold of them and they fell to the lowest depths of moral depravity and began to follow their whims instead of the Divine Commands.

फिर उनके बाद कुछ नाख़लफ (उनके) जानशीन हुए जिन्होंने नमाज़ें खोयी और नफ़सानी ख्वाहिशों के चेले बन बैठे अनक़रीब ही ये लोग (अपनी) गुमराही (के ख़ामयाजे) से जा मिलेंगे

অতঃপর তাদের পরে এল অপদার্থ পরবর্তীরা। তারা নামায নষ্ট করল এবং কুপ্রবৃত্তির অনুবর্তী হল। সুতরাং তারা অচিরেই পথভ্রষ্টতা প্রত্যক্ষ করবে।

  7. اور ہم نے ان کی بادشاہی کو مستحکم کیا اور ان کو حکمت عطا کی
  8. تو اس روز سے پہلے جو خدا کی طرف سے آکر رہے گا اور رک
  9. اور پچھلے لوگوں میں میرا ذکر نیک (جاری) کر
  10. تو جو کچھ یہ (کفار) بکتے ہیں اس پر صبر کرو اور آفتاب کے طلوع
