﴿فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا ۖ إِنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَإِنَّا إِذَا أَذَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَإِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ كَفُورٌ﴾

Ayat With Urdu Translation

پھر اگر یہ منہ پھیر لیں تو ہم نے تم کو ان پر نگہبان بنا کر نہیں بھیجا۔ تمہارا کام تو صرف (احکام کا) پہنچا دینا ہے۔ اور جب ہم انسان کو اپنی رحمت کا مزہ چکھاتے ہیں تو اس سے خوش ہوجاتا ہے۔ اور اگر ان کو ان ہی کے اعمال کے سبب کوئی سختی پہنچتی ہے تو (سب احسانوں کو بھول جاتے ہیں) بےشک انسان بڑا ناشکرا ہے

Surah Ash_shuraa Full Urdu

(1) جیسے دوسرے مقام پر فرمایا «لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَاهُمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ» (البقرة: 272) اور «فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ» (الرعد: 40) «فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ، لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُسَيْطِرٍ» (الغاشية :21 -22) ان سب کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ آپ (صلى الله عليه وسلم) کی ذمہ داری صرف اور صرف یہ ہے کہ اللہ کا پیغام لوگوں تک پہنچادیں، مانیں نہ مانیں، آپ سے اس کی بازپرس نہیں ہوگی، کیونکہ ہدایت دینا آپ کے اختیار میں ہی نہیں ہے، یہ صرف اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے۔
(2) یعنی وسائل رزق کی فراوانی، صحت وعافیت، اولاد کی کثرت، جاہ ومنصب وغیرہ۔
(3) یعنی تکبر اور غرور کا اظہار کرتا ہے، ورنہ اللہ کی نعمتوں پر خوش ہونا یا اس کا اظہار ہونا، ناپسندیدہ امر نہیں، لیکن وہ تحدیث نعمت اور شکر کے طور پر ہو نہ کہ فخر وریا اور تکبر کے طور پر۔
(4) مال کی کمی، بیماری، اولاد سے محرومی وغیرہ۔
(5) یعنی فوراً نعمتوں کوبھی بھول جاتا ہے اور مُنْعِمٌ (نعمتیں دینے والے) کو بھی۔ یہ انسانوں کی غالب اکثریت کے اعتبار سے ہے جس میں ضعیف الایمان لوگ بھی شامل ہیں۔ لیکن اللہ کے نیک بندے اور کامل الایمان لوگوں کا حال ایسا نہیں ہوتا۔ وہ تکلیفوں پر صبر کرتے ہیں اور نعمتوں پر شکر۔ جیسا کہ رسول اللہ (صلى الله عليه وسلم) نے فرمایا ”إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ ، وَلَيْس ذَلِك لأَحَدٍ إٍلا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ“ (صحيح مسلم، كتاب الزهد ، باب أمر المؤمن أمره خير له)۔

Surah Shura Ayat 48 meaning in urdu

اب اگر یہ لوگ منہ موڑتے ہیں تو اے نبیؐ، ہم نے تم کو ان پر نگہبان بنا کر تو نہیں بھیجا ہے تم پر تو صرف بات پہنچا دینے کی ذمہ داری ہے انسان کا حال یہ ہے کہ جب ہم اسے اپنی رحمت کا مزا چکھاتے ہیں تو اُس پر پھول جاتا ہے، اور اگر اس کے اپنے ہاتھوں کا کیا دھرا کسی مصیبت کی شکل میں اُس پر الٹ پڑتا ہے تو سخت ناشکرا بن جاتا ہے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(42:48) (O Prophet), if they turn away from the Truth, know that We did not send you to them as their overseer. *74 Your task is only to convey (the Message). Indeed when We give man a taste of Our Mercy, he exults in it. But if any misfortune afflicts them on account of their deeds, man is utterly ungrateful. *75

But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, meaning

*74) That is, "You have not been made responsible that you must bring them to the right path anyhow, nor will you be held accountable as to why these people did not come to the right path."
*75) "Man" here implies the mean and shallow people who are the subject of the discourse here, who have got a measure of the worldly provisions and are exulting in this, and who do not pay any attention when they are admonished to come to the right path. But when they are visited by a disaster in consequence of their own misdeeds, they stmt cursing their fate, and forget alI those blessings which AIlah has blessed them with, and do not try to understand how far they themselves are to be blamed for the condition in which they are placed. Thus, neither does prosperity become conducive to their reformation nor can adversity teach them a lesson and bring them to the right path. A study of the context shows that this is, in fact, a satire on the attitude of the people who were the addressees of the above discourse, but they have not been addressed to tell them of their weakness directly, but the weakness of man has been mentioned in a general way and pointed out that what is the real cause of his sad plight. This gives an important point of the wisdom of preaching: the weaknesses of the addressee should not be made the target directly, but they should be mentioned in a general way so that he is not provoked, and if his conscience has still some life in it, he may try to understand his shortcoming with a cool mind.

Fain aAAradoo fama arsalnaka AAalayhim hafeethan in AAalayka illa albalaghu wainna itha athaqna alinsana minna rahmatan fariha biha wain tusibhum sayyiatun bima qaddamat aydeehim fainna alinsana kafoorun

English - Sahih International

But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful.

Quran Hindi translation

फिर अगर मुँह फेर लें तो (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुमको उनका निगेहबान बनाकर नहीं भेजा तुम्हारा काम तो सिर्फ (एहकाम का) पहुँचा देना है और जब हम इन्सान को अपनी रहमत का मज़ा चखाते हैं तो वह उससे ख़ुश हो जाता है और अगर उनको उन्हीं के हाथों की पहली करतूतों की बदौलत कोई तकलीफ पहुँचती (सब एहसान भूल गए) बेशक इन्सान बड़ा नाशुक्रा है

যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে আপনাকে আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার রহমত আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে উল্লসিত, আর যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটে, তখন মানুষ খুব অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
