﴿وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ قَالُوا أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم بِمَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَاجُّوكُم بِهِ عِندَ رَبِّكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 76]

اور یہ لوگ جب مومنوں سے ملتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں، ہم ایمان لے آئے ہیں۔ اور جب آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے ملتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں، جو بات خدا نے تم پر ظاہر فرمائی ہے، وہ تم ان کو اس لیے بتائے دیتے ہو کہ (قیامت کے دن) اسی کے حوالے سے تمہارے پروردگار کے سامنے تم کو الزام دیں۔ کیا تم سمجھتے نہیں؟

Surah Al-Baqarah Full Urdu

(1) یہ بعض یہودیوں کے منافقانہ کردار کی نقاب کشائی ہو رہی ہے کہ وہ مسلمانوں میں تو اپنے ایمان کا اظہار کرتے، لیکن جب آپس میں ملتے تو ایک دوسرے کو اس بات پر ملامت کرتے کہ تم مسلمانوں کو اپنی کتاب کی ایسی باتیں کیوں بتاتے ہو جس سے رسول عربی کی صداقت واضح ہوتی ہے۔ اس طرح تم خود ہی ایک ایسی حجت ان کے ہاتھ میں دے رہے ہو جو وہ تمہارے خلاف بارگاہ الٰہی میں پیش کریں گے۔

Surah baqarah Ayat 76 meaning in urdu

(محمد رسول اللہﷺ پر) ایمان لانے والوں سے ملتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم بھی انہیں مانتے ہیں، اور جب آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے تخلیے کی بات چیت ہوتی ہے تو کہتے ہیں کہ بے وقوف ہوگئے ہو؟ اِن لوگوں کو وہ باتیں بتاتے ہو جو اللہ نے تم پر کھولی ہیں تاکہ تمہارے رب کے پاس تمہارے مقابلے میں انہیں حُجتّ؟ میں پیش کریں

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(2:76) When they meet those who believe in Muhammad, they say, "We also believe in him." But when they meet one another in private, they say, "Have you got no sense that you disclose to them those things which Allah has revealed to you so that they might bring them as a proof against you before your Lord? *88

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We have believed"; meaning

When the Jews talked among themselves they asked their co-religionists to disclose to the Muslims neither the prophesies about the Prophet, nor those verses of the Scriptures on the basis of which they could be reproached for their evil conduct; they thought that the Muslims would make use of scriptural arguments against them before God, and would thus have them pronounced guilty. These were the depths to which Jewish relivious decadence had sunk. They were convinced that if they could succeed in concealing their guilt in this world, they would be saved from censure in the Next. For this reason they were asked if they considered God to be unaware of their deeds, either apparent or hidden.

Waitha laqoo allatheena amanoo qaloo amanna waitha khala baAAduhum ila baAAdin qaloo atuhaddithoonahum bima fataha Allahu AAalaykum liyuhajjookum bihi AAinda rabbikum afala taAAqiloona

English - Sahih International

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We have believed"; but when they are alone with one another, they say, "Do you talk to them about what Allah has revealed to you so they can argue with you about it before your Lord?" Then will you not reason?

Quran Hindi translation

जो ईमान लाए तो कह देते हैं कि हम तो ईमान ला चुके और जब उनसे बाज़-बाज़ के साथ तख़िलया करते हैं तो कहते हैं कि जो कुछ खुदा ने तुम पर (तौरेत) में ज़ाहिर कर दिया है क्या तुम (मुसलमानों को) बता दोगे ताकि उसके सबब से कल तुम्हारे खुदा के पास तुम पर हुज्जत लाएँ क्या तुम इतना भी नहीं समझते

Quran Bangla tarjuma

যখন তারা মুসলমানদের সাথে মিলিত হয়, তখন বলেঃ আমরা মুসলমান হয়েছি। আর যখন পরস্পরের সাথে নিভৃতে অবস্থান করে, তখন বলে, পালনকর্তা তোমাদের জন্যে যা প্রকাশ করেছেন, তা কি তাদের কাছে বলে দিচ্ছ? তাহলে যে তারা এ নিয়ে পালকর্তার সামনে তোমাদেরকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করবে। তোমরা কি তা উপলব্ধি কর না?
