﴿وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا أَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ بَشَرًا رَّسُولًا﴾
[ الإسراء: 94]

اور جب لوگوں کے پاس ہدایت آگئی تو ان کو ایمان لانے سے اس کے سوا کوئی چیز مانع نہ ہوئی کہ کہنے لگے کہ کیا خدا نے آدمی کو پیغمبر کرکے بھیجا ہے

Surah Al-Isra Full Urdu

(1) یعنی کسی انسان کا رسول ہونا، کفار و مشرکین کے لئے سخت تعجب کی بات تھی، وہ یہ بات مانتے ہی نہ تھے کہ ہمارے جیسا انسان، جو ہماری طرح چلتا پھرتا ہے، ہماری طرح کھاتا پیتا ہے، ہماری طرح انسانی رشتوں میں منسلک ہے، وہ رسول بن جائے۔ یہی تعجب ان کے ایمان میں مانع رہا۔

Surah Al Israa Ayat 94 meaning in urdu

لوگوں کے سامنے جب کبھی ہدایت آئی تو اس پر ایمان لانے سے اُن کو کسی چیز نے نہیں روکا مگر اُن کے اِسی قول نے کہ "کیا اللہ نے بشر کو پیغمبر بنا کر بھیج دیا؟"

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(17:94) Whenever Guidance came before the people nothing prevented them from believing in it except this (excuse): they said: "Did Allah send a human being as His Messenger?" *107

And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them meaning

*107) It implies that this misunderstanding has always been cammon among the ignorant people of every age that a human being could not be a Messenger of Allah: They rejected a Messenger just because he was a human being and took his meals and had wife and children like themselves. In contrast to this, after the passage of the time the credulous followers of a Messenger began to claim that he was not a human being at all because he was a Messenger. That is why some people made their Messenger their God, others the son of God and still others the incarnation of God. In short, the ignorant people had never been able to understand that a human being could be a Messenger of Allah.

Wama manaAAa alnnasa an yuminoo ith jaahumu alhuda illa an qaloo abaAAatha Allahu basharan rasoolan

And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said, "Has Allah sent a human messenger?"

(जो ये बेहूदा बातें करते हो) और जब लोगों के पास हिदायत आ चुकी तो उनको ईमान लाने से इसके सिवा किसी चीज़ ने न रोका कि वह कहने लगे कि क्या ख़ुदा ने आदमी को रसूल बनाकर भेजा है

আল্লাহ কি মানুষকে পয়গম্বর করে পাঠিয়েছেন? তাদের এই উক্তিই মানুষকে ঈমান আনয়ন থেকে বিরত রাখে, যখন তাদের নিকট আসে হেদায়েত।
