Quran 11:29 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn

And O my people I do not ask of you any wealth which you should give me for this for conveying the Message. My wage my reward falls only upon God and I will not drive away those who believe as you have commanded me; they shall surely meet their Lord at the Resurrection and He will requite them and exact vengeance for them from those who wronged them and drove them away. But I see you are a people who are ignorant of the consequence of your affair.

Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim

My people, he said: I do not charge you a price for what I relate to you of Allahs divine message nor for the divine knowledge imparted to me. The reward for divine service rests only in the hands of Allah. Nor can I dismiss those whose hearts have been touched with the divine hand or send them away on account of your despicable opinion of them or of viewing them with contempt. They shall meet with Allah, their Creator. in Day of Judgment when I shall have much to answer for. But then I can see that you people are indeed in want of intellect and spiritual knowledge

Quran 11:29 Tafsir Ibn Kathir

وَمَآ أَنَاْ بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ ( I am not going to drive away those who have believed. ) This alludes to the fact that they ( the disbelievers ) requested Nuh to disassociate himself from the believers, because they were averse to them and felt themselves too important to sit with them.
This is similar to the request of disbelievers to the seal of the Messengers ﷺ to disassociate himself from a group of the people who were considered weak in their social status.
They wanted the Prophet to sit with them in a special gathering of the elite.
Therefore, Allah revealed, وَلاَ تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِىِّ ( And turn not away those who invoke their Lord, morning and afternoon. ) Allah also says, وَكَذلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولواْ أَهَـؤُلاءِ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن بَيْنِنَآ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّـكِرِينَ ( Thus We have tried some of them with others, that they might say: "Is it these (poor believers ) whom Allah has favored from among us" Does not Allah know best those who are grateful)6:53

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(11:29) My people! I seek no recompense from you. *35 My recompense is only with Allah. Nor will I drive away those who believe. They are destined to meet their Lord. *36 But I find you to be an ignorant people.

And O my people, I ask not meaning

*35).
The Prophet Noah ( peace be on him ) told his people that he had sincerely counselled his people about what was conducive to their well-being.
Noah bore all kinds of hardship and suffering, and all for the well-being of his people.
Noah sought to achieve no personal benefit out of his striving to call
*36).
The worth of the believers is best known only to their Lord which will become fully evident when they encounter Him on the Day of Judgement.
If they indeed are true gems, they will not then become pieces of ordinary rock just because some people in this world had disparagingly thrown them aside.
But if, on the contrary, they are indeed nothing but mere pieces of ordinary rock, their Lord has every right to cast them wherever He pleases.

II, al-An'am 6: 52, and al-Kahf 18:28. )

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

( And O my people! I ask of you no wealth ) price ( therefore ) in exchange for believing in Allah’s divine Oneness. ( My reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe ) because of what you say. ( Lo! they have to meet their Lord ) and report me to Him, ( but I see you a folk that are ignorant ) of the command of Allah.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

"And O my people! I ask of you no wealth for it, my reward is from none but Allah. I am not going to drive away those who have believed. Surely, they are going to meet their Lord, but I see that you are a people that are ignorant.
