﴿هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ﴾
[ الغاشية: 1]

بھلا تم کو ڈھانپ لینے والی (یعنی قیامت کا) حال معلوم ہوا ہے

(1) هَلْ بمعنی قَدْ ہے۔ غَاشِيَةٌ سے مراد قیامت ہے۔ اس لئے کہ اس کی ہولناکیاں تمام مخلوق کو ڈھانک لیں گی۔

(88:1) Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? *1

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? meaning

*1) "The over-shadowing calamity": the Resurrection which will overshadow the whole world. One should know that here the Hereafter as a whole is being depicted, which comprehends aII the stages from the upsetting of the present system to the resurrection of all human beings and the dispensation of rewards and punishments from the Divine Court.

  2. کہنے لگے یہ دونوں جادوگر ہیں چاہتے ہیں کہ اپنے جادو (کے زور) سے تم
  3. جو لوگ تم میں سے اپنی عورتوں کو ماں کہہ دیتے ہیں وہ ان کی
  4. اے ایمان والو! انصاف پر قائم رہو اور خدا کے لئے سچی گواہی دو خواہ
  5. (یہ) کتاب خدائے غالب (اور) حکمت والے کی طرف سے نازل ہوئی ہے
  6. غرض جب وہ اس کو لے گئے اور اس بات پر اتفاق کرلیا کہ اس
  7. کہیں گے بلکہ تم ہی کو خوشی نہ ہو۔ تم ہی تو یہ (بلا) ہمارے
  8. اور تجھ پر قیامت کے دن تک میری لعنت (پڑتی) رہے گی
  9. کیا تم لوگ یہ خیال کرتے ہو کہ (بےآزمائش) چھوڑ دیئے جاؤ گے اور ابھی
  10. اور جہاں تک ہوسکے (فوج کی جمعیت کے) زور سے اور گھوڑوں کے تیار رکھنے
