﴿هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ﴾
[ الغاشية: 1]

بھلا تم کو ڈھانپ لینے والی (یعنی قیامت کا) حال معلوم ہوا ہے

(1) هَلْ بمعنی قَدْ ہے۔ غَاشِيَةٌ سے مراد قیامت ہے۔ اس لئے کہ اس کی ہولناکیاں تمام مخلوق کو ڈھانک لیں گی۔

(88:1) Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? *1

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? meaning

*1) "The over-shadowing calamity": the Resurrection which will overshadow the whole world. One should know that here the Hereafter as a whole is being depicted, which comprehends aII the stages from the upsetting of the present system to the resurrection of all human beings and the dispensation of rewards and punishments from the Divine Court.

  4. ہاں جس نے توبہ کی اور ایمان لایا اور عمل نیک کئے تو اسے لوگ
  5. اور ان کو اور ان کی قوم کو مصیبت عظیمہ سے نجات بخشی
  6. تو یہ کیوں خدا کے آگے توبہ نہیں کرتے اور اس سے گناہوں کی معافی
  7. اے میرے بندو جو ایمان لائے ہو میری زمین فراخ ہے تو میری ہی عبادت
  8. اور اگر (کافر) کوئی نشانی دیکھتے ہیں تو منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں
  9. نہ تو سورج ہی سے ہوسکتا ہے کہ چاند کو جا پکڑے اور نہ رات
  10. اور ہم نے ان کو عذاب میں پکڑا تو بھی انہوں نے خدا کے آگے
