﴿هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ﴾
[ الغاشية: 1]

بھلا تم کو ڈھانپ لینے والی (یعنی قیامت کا) حال معلوم ہوا ہے

(1) هَلْ بمعنی قَدْ ہے۔ غَاشِيَةٌ سے مراد قیامت ہے۔ اس لئے کہ اس کی ہولناکیاں تمام مخلوق کو ڈھانک لیں گی۔

(88:1) Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? *1

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? meaning

*1) "The over-shadowing calamity": the Resurrection which will overshadow the whole world. One should know that here the Hereafter as a whole is being depicted, which comprehends aII the stages from the upsetting of the present system to the resurrection of all human beings and the dispensation of rewards and punishments from the Divine Court.

  4. خدا نے فرمایا کہ نوح وہ تیرے گھر والوں میں نہیں ہے وہ تو ناشائستہ
  5. جو تم کرتے ہو وہ اسے جانتے ہیں
  6. کہہ دو کہ ان کو وہ زندہ کرے گا جس نے ان کو پہلی بار
  7. کیا کافروں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ آسمان اور زمین دونوں ملے ہوئے تھے تو ہم
  8. لیکن جب خدا نے ان کو اپنے فضل سے (مال) دیا تو اس میں بخل
  9. اور ان میں سے بعض اسے بھی ہیں کہ (تقسیم) صدقات میں تم پر طعنہ
  10. جب اس کو ہماری آیتیں سنائی جاتی ہیں تو کہتا ہے کہ یہ تو اگلے
