Surah Jasiah Ayat 18 in Urdu - سورہ جاثیہ کی آیت نمبر 18
﴿ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴾
[ الجاثية: 18]
پھر ہم نے تم کو دین کے کھلے رستے پر (قائم) کر دیا تو اسی (رستے) پر چلے چلو اور نادانوں کی خواہشوں کے پیچھے نہ چلنا
Surah Al-Jaathiyah Full Urdu
(1) شریعت کے لغوی معنی ہیں، راستہ ملت اور منہاج۔ شاہراہ کو بھی شارع کہا جاتا ہے کہ وہ مقصد ومنزل تک پہنچاتی ہے۔ پس شریعت سے یہاں مراد، وہ دین ہے جو اللہ نے اپنے بندوں کے لیے مقرر فرمایا ہے تاکہ لوگ اس پر چل کر اللہ کی رضا کا مقصد حاصل کرلیں۔ آیت کا مطلب ہے۔ ہم نے آپ کو دین کے ایک واضح راستے یا طریقے پر قائم کردیا ہے جو آپ کو حق تک پہنچا دے گا۔
(2) جو اللہ کی توحید اور اس کی شریعت سے ناواقف ہیں۔ مراد کفار مکہ اور ان کے ساتھی ہیں۔

ثم جعلناك على شريعة من الأمر فاتبعها ولا تتبع أهواء الذين لا يعلمون

اس کے بعد اب اے نبیؐ، ہم نے تم کو دین کے معاملہ میں ایک صاف شاہراہ (شریعت) پر قائم کیا ہے لہٰذا تم اسی پر چلو اور اُن لوگوں کی خواہشات کا اتباع نہ کرو جو علم نہیں رکھتے
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(45:18) And then We set you, (O Prophet), on a clear high road in religious matters. *23 So follow that and do not follow the desires of those who do not know.
Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the meaning
*23) It means: "The mission that had been entrusted to the children of Israel before you has now been entrusted to you. They, in spite of receiving knowledge, created such differences in religion out of selfish motives and stirred up such divisions among themselves that they became disqualified to call the people to God's way. Now you have been set upon the clear highway of Religion so that you may perform the service which the children of Israel have failed to perform and become disqualified to perform it. Thumma jaAAalnaka AAala shareeAAatin mina alamri faittabiAAha wala tattabiAA ahwaa allatheena la yaAAlamoona

Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.

फिर (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुमको दीन के खुले रास्ते पर क़ायम किया है तो इसी (रास्ते) पर चले जाओ और नादानों की ख्वाहिशो की पैरवी न करो
