﴿۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ﴾
[ القمر: 9]

ان سے پہلے نوحؑ کی قوم نے بھی تکذیب کی تھی تو انہوں نے ہمارے بندے کو جھٹلایا اور کہا کہ دیوانہ ہے اور انہیں ڈانٹا بھی

Surah Al-Qamar Full Urdu

(1) وَازْدُجِرَ وَازْتُجِرَ ہے، یعنی قوم نوح نے نوح (عليه السلام) کی تکذیب ہی نہیں کی، بلکہ انہیں جھڑکا اور ڈرایا دھمکایا بھی۔ جیسے دوسرےمقام پر فرمایا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ (الشعراء: 116) ”اے نوح! اگر تو باز نہ آیا تو تجھے سنگسارکر دیا جائے گا“۔

اِن سے پہلے نوحؑ کی قوم جھٹلا چکی ہے اُنہوں نے ہمارے بندے کو جھوٹا قرار دیا اور کہا کہ یہ دیوانہ ہے، اور وہ بری طرح جھڑکا گیا

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(54:9) Before them Noah's people also gave the lie (to his Message). *9 They rejected Our servant as a liar, saying: 'He is a madman'; and he was rebuffed. *10

The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant meaning

*9) That is, `They denied that the Hereafter has to take place when man will have to render an account of his deeds; they denied the Prophethood of the Prophet who was making his people aware of this truth; and they denied the teaching of the Prophet, which taught them what to believe and what creed and conduct they should adopt in order to pass the reckoning of the Hereafter."
*10) That is, "The people not only belied the Prophet but also branded him as a madman; they uttered threats against him, showered him with curses and abuses; and did whatever possibly they could to stop him from preaching the truth, and thus made life extremely difficult for him.

Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin fakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira

The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

इनसे पहले नूह की क़ौम ने भी झुठलाया था, तो उन्होने हमारे (ख़ास) बन्दे (नूह) को झुठलाया, और कहने लगे ये तो दीवाना है

তাদের পূর্বে নূহের সম্প্রদায়ও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। তারা মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল আমার বান্দা নূহের প্রতি এবং বলেছিলঃ এ তো উম্মাদ। তাঁরা তাকে হুমকি প্রদর্শন করেছিল।
