The Oft-Forgiving in the Holy Quran

﴿وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٞ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا ثُمَّ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ ﴾ [Ṭā-Hā: 82]

(82) But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.

Surah: Ṭā-Hā - Verse: 82 - Juz: 16 - Page: 317

﴿رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّٰرُ ﴾ [Ṣād: 66]

(66) Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver."

Surah: Ṣād - Verse: 66 - Juz: 23 - Page: 457

﴿خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ يُكَوِّرُ ٱلَّيۡلَ عَلَى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ ٱلنَّهَارَ عَلَى ٱلَّيۡلِۖ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلّٞ يَجۡرِي لِأَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۗ أَلَا هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡغَفَّٰرُ ﴾ [Az-Zumar: 5]

(5) He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.

Surah: Az-Zumar - Verse: 5 - Juz: 23 - Page: 458

﴿تَدۡعُونَنِي لِأَكۡفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيۡسَ لِي بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ وَأَنَا۠ أَدۡعُوكُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡغَفَّٰرِ ﴾ [Ghāfir: 42]

(42) You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.

Surah: Ghāfir - Verse: 42 - Juz: 24 - Page: 472

﴿فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغَٰرِبِ إِنَّا لَقَٰدِرُونَ ﴾ [Al-Ma‘ārij: 40]

(40) So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able

Surah: Al-Ma‘ārij - Verse: 40 - Juz: 29 - Page: 569

﴿فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارٗا ﴾ [Nūḥ: 10]

(10) And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.
