surah Anbiya aya 15 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 15]
21:15 And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSo they continued confessing to their sins and praying for their own destruction until I made them like harvested crops, dead without any movement.

And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is reaped, extinct (dead).

Fama zalat tilka daAAwahum hatta jaAAalnahum haseedan khamideena
