surah Baqarah aya 157 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 157]
2:157 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThose who possess these virtues are praised by Allah in the highest gathering of angels, and mercy descends on them.
They are the ones guided to the path of truth.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones.
phonetic Transliteration
Olaika AAalayhim salawatun min rabbihim warahmatun waolaika humu almuhtadoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e., who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
