surah Saba aya 17 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُم بِمَا كَفَرُوا ۖ وَهَلْ نُجَازِي إِلَّا الْكَفُورَ﴾
[ سبأ: 17]
34:17 [By] that We repaid them because they disbelieved. And do We [thus] repay except the ungrateful?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThat change which occurred to the favours they were on was because of their disbelief and turning away from being thankful for the favours.
And I do not punish so severely except one who rejects Allah’s favours.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
Like this We requited them because they were ungrateful disbelievers. And never do We requit in such a way except those who are ungrateful, (disbelievers).
phonetic Transliteration
Thalika jazaynahum bima kafaroo wahal nujazee illa alkafoora
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
That was the Requital We gave them because they ungratefully rejected Faith: and never do We give (such) requital except to such as are ungrateful rejecters.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Like this We requited them because they were ungrateful disbelievers. And never do We requite in such a way except those who are ungrateful (disbelievers).
