surah Araf aya 198 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَإِن تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَىٰ لَا يَسْمَعُوا ۖ وَتَرَاهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ﴾
[ الأعراف: 198]
7:198 And if you invite them to guidance, they do not hear; and you see them looking at you while they do not see.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIf you call your idols which you worship instead of Allah to the right path and steadfastness, they will not hear you calling them.
You see them facing you with painted eyes, objects that cannot see! For they used to make statues in the form of people and animals, with hands, feet and eyes, but they were just objects, inanimate and unable to move.

And if you call them to guidance, they hear not and you will see them looking at you, yet they see not.
phonetic Transliteration
Wain tadAAoohum ila alhuda la yasmaAAoo watarahum yanthuroona ilayka wahum la yubsiroona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
If thou callest them to guidance, they hear not. Thou wilt see them looking at thee, but they see not.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And if you call them to guidance, they hear not and you will see them looking at you, yet they see not."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

بلکہ اگر تم انہیں سیدھی راہ پر آنے کے لیے کہو تو وہ تمہاری بات سن بھی نہیں سکتے بظاہر تم کو ایسا نظر آتا ہے کہ وہ تمہاری طرف دیکھ رہے ہیں مگر فی الواقع وہ کچھ بھی نہیں دیکھتے"
