surah Nahl aya 34 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ﴾
[ النحل: 34]
16:34 So they were struck by the evil consequences of what they did and were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSo the retribution of the actions they used to do came down on them and they were surrounded by the punishment they used to mock at whenever they were reminded of it.

Then, the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that at which they used to mock surrounded them.
