37:37 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Verily, they have spoken a grave lie, because the Messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him ) was not a madman nor a poet; he brought the Qur’ān which calls towards the oneness of Allah and towards following His Messenger.
He corroborated the message of monotheism and affirmation of the afterlife the messengers brought from Allah; he did not contradict them in anything.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism).

Bal jaa bialhaqqi wasaddaqa almursaleena

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him).

*21) Confirmation of the Messengers has three meanings and all the three are implied here: (1) That he had not opposed any former Messenger so that the believers of that Messenger could have a rational ground of prejudice against him; he had rather confirmed all the former Messengers sent by God; (2) that he had not brought any new or novel thing, but he had presented the same that the former Messengers of God had been presenting from the very beginning; and (3) that he truly fulfilled and corresponded to the predictions that the former Messengers had made concerning him.
