18:43 And there was for him no company to aid him other than Allah, nor could he defend himself.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

This disbeliever had no group to protect him from the punishment that fell on him, whereas he was the one who used to boast about his group.
He himself too could not stop Allah from destroying his garden.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

And he had no group of men to help him against Allah, nor could he defend or save himself.
