surah Jinn aya 12 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا﴾
[ الجن: 12]
72:12 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAnd that we are certain that we cannot escape Allah, may He be glorified, when He intends some matter for us.
We will never be able to escape Him by fleeing because He surrounds us.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight.

Wanna thananna an lan nuAAjiza Allaha fee alardi walan nuAAjizahu haraban
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
`And we think that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.'
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

As we were not fearless of AIlah and we believed that we would not be able to avoid His punishment if we disobeyed Him, so when we heard the Divine Revelation that had been sent to show the right way, we could not have the courage and boldness to persist in the beliefs that our foolish people had spread among us, afar we had known the truth. "
