Surah Tawbah ayat 10 Tafsir Quran 9:10

﴿لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِي مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُعْتَدُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 10]

9:10 They do not observe toward a believer any pact of kinship or covenant of protection. And it is they who are the transgressors.

They respect neither bond of kinship nor treaty with regard to a believer; those they are the transgressors.

If they get an advantage over a Muslim and prevail against him, they shall injure him, disregarding totally their ties of kinship and their obligations. Their disposition reflects their transgressive infirmities. They prevail themselves of what the occasion gives

اشْتَرَوْاْ بِـَايَـتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً ( They have purchased with the Ayat of Allah a little gain, ) idolators exchanged following the Ayat of Allah with the lower affairs of life that they indulged in, فَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ( and they hindered men from His way ), trying to prevent the believers from following the truth, إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَلاَ يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلاًّ وَلاَ ذِمَّةً ( evil indeed is that which they used to do.
With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! ) 9:9-10.
We explained these meanings before, as well as, the meaning of, فَإِن تَابُواْ وَأَقَامُواْ الصَّلَوةَ ( But if they repent, perform the Salah... )

( And they observe towards a believer neither pact ) ties of kinship; it is also said that the reference here is to Allah ( nor honour ) because of the treaties they signed. ( These are they who are transgressors ) who shifted from that which is lawful to that which is prohibited, by breaking their treaties and committing other things.

With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.
