Surah Tawbah ayat 11 Tafsir Quran 9:11

﴿فَإِن تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 11]

9:11 But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.

Yet if they repent and establish prayer and pay the alms then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail We explain the signs for a people who know who reflect.

If they in lowliest plight repentant stood performed regular prayer and imprinted their deeds with wisdom and piety and gave Zakat, then they are your Co-religionists and an integral part of your brotherhood. We expound Our revelations and render Our discourse readily understood to people who reflect

اشْتَرَوْاْ بِـَايَـتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً ( They have purchased with the Ayat of Allah a little gain, ) idolators exchanged following the Ayat of Allah with the lower affairs of life that they indulged in, فَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ( and they hindered men from His way ), trying to prevent the believers from following the truth, إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَلاَ يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلاًّ وَلاَ ذِمَّةً ( evil indeed is that which they used to do.
With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! ) 9:9-10.
We explained these meanings before, as well as, the meaning of, فَإِن تَابُواْ وَأَقَامُواْ الصَّلَوةَ ( But if they repent, perform the Salah... )

(9:11) yet if they repent even now, and establish Salat and pay Zakat dues, then they shall be your brethren in faith. Thus We make plain Our Messages to those who try to understand. *14

But if they repent, establish prayer, and meaning

*14) Here, too, it has explicitly been stated that those who repent will not become your brethren in faith without the observance of Salat and Zakat.

" Yet if ........they shall be your brethren in faith ": This means that " if they fulfil those conditions, then not only shall their lives and properties become unlawful for you but also they shall enjoy equal rights with you in the Islamic Community.
There shall be no distinction between them and the other Muslims in regard to social, cultural, legal and political rights, and nothing will stand in their way to the progress for which they are otherwise qualified.

14a.
"........you should fight with them.....":perhaps the fear of war may force them to desist from breaking oaths and reviling Islam.

( But if they repent ) from idolatry and believe in Allah ( and establish worship ) acknowledge the prayers ( and pay the poor-due ) and acknowledge the poor-due, ( then are they your brethren in religion ) in Islam. ( We detail Our revelations ) We explain the Qur’an by means of expositing the commands and prohibitions ( for a people who have knowledge ) and believe.

But if they repent, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for a people who know.
