Surah Assaaffat ayat 74 Tafsir Quran 37:74

﴿إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ﴾
[ الصافات: 74]

37:74 But not the chosen servants of Allah.

all except God’s sincere servants namely the believers who are saved from chastisement because they were sincere in their worship mukhlisīna; or if one reads mukhlasīna because God has made them sincerely devoted to such worship.

But excluded from that ill-fate were those votaries faithful to Allah and sincere in mind and spirit

فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ( Then see what was the end of those who were warned.
Except the chosen servants of Allah ).

(37:74) except for the chosen servants of Allah? *38

But not the chosen servants of Allah. meaning

*38) That is, they never used their own common sense to sec whether the way their forefathers had been following was right or wrong; they just blindly adopted the way that they found others following.

 

فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ ( Then see what was the end of those who were warned.
Except the chosen servants of Allah ).

Allah then made an exception, saying: ( Save singled minded slaves of Allah ) who are protected from disbelief and idolatry; and it is said that this means according to a variant reading: except those chosen for worship and the profession of Allah’s divine Oneness. The latter did not disbelieve and therefore We did not destroy them.

Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism).
