Quran 22:76 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn

He knows that which is before them and that which is behind them in other words what they have offered in the way of deeds and what they have left behind and what they have done and what they will do next; and to God all matters are returned.

Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim

He knows His creatures current events and the course of their coming events bridging their span, and to Him, the Ultimate Authority, are committed and submitted all matters and all affairs for consideration, decision and execution -here and Hereafter

Quran 22:76 Tafsir Ibn Kathir

Allah chooses Messengers from the Angels and Messengers from Mankind Allah tells us that He chooses Messengers from His angels as He wills by His law and decree, and He chooses Messengers from mankind to convey His Message. إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ ( Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer. ) means, He hears all that His servants say, and He sees them and knows who among them is deserving of that, as He says: اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ ( Allah knows best with whom to place His Message ) 6:124 يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الاٍّمُورُ ( He knows what is before them, and what is behind them.
And to Allah return all matters. )
He knows what will happen to His Messengers and the Message He sent them with, for none of their affairs are hidden from Him.
He says: عَـلِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلاَ يُظْهِرُ عَلَى غَيْبِهِ أَحَداً ( "The All-Knower of the Ghayb (Unseen ), and He reveals to none His Ghayb.")72:26 until His saying; وَأَحْصَى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَداً ( and He keeps count of all things. ) 72:28 So He, may He be glorified, is guarding them, and is Witness to what is said about them.
He is protecting them and supporting them. Proclaim which has been sent down to you from your Lord.
And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message.
Allah will protect you from mankind )
5:67.

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(22:76) He knows whatever is open before them as well as that which is hidden from them, *125 and all matters are resented before Him. *126

He knows what is [presently] before them meaning

*125) The Qur'an employs this sentence to refute the creed of the mushriks in regard to intercession, as if to say, " You imagine that angels, prophets, saints, and the like can intercede with Allah on your behalf and therefore you worship them.
You are absolutely wrong, for none of your deities knows what is good for you and what is not: Allah alone hears everything, sees everything and knows everything.
Therefore He has not given the right of intercession and recommendation to anyone except when He Himself is pleased to give such permission. "

*126) This is to impress upon them that every affair and every matter, big or small, is presented before Allah for a decision.
Therefore you should not invoke anyone else than Allah, for all others are utterly helpless and powerless and cannot even fulfil their own desires and needs.

Tafsir Maarif-ul-Quran Mufti Muhammad Shafi

5:67.

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

( He knoweth all that is before them ) of the matter of the Hereafter ( and all that is behind them ) of the matter of the life of this world, ( and unto Allah all things ) the consequence of all things ( are returned ) in the Hereafter.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters (for decision).
