surah Maryam aya 12 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿يَا يَحْيَىٰ خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا﴾
[ مريم: 12]
19:12 [Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThen John was born to him.
Once he reached an age in which he could be addressed, I said to him: “O John, take the Torah firmly and with effort”.
And I granted him understanding, knowledge, firmness, and resolve, whilst he was still a child.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
(It was said to his son): "O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.
phonetic Transliteration
Ya yahya khuthi alkitaba biquwwatin waataynahu alhukma sabiyyan
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
(To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth,
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
(It was said to his son): "O Yahya! Hold fast to the Scripture." And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

O Yahya, he was told, take the Book AL-Tawrah (the Torah) adhere to all that We have imparted to you and observe the code of discipline and body of regulations and hold them in esteem and hold to your promise and pay attention. Regard to it and be mindful of Our commandments, and We imbued him with wisdom in his childhood

(19:12) To John We said, "Observe the Divine Book with a firm resolve. *9 "
[Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave meaning
*9) The details regarding the birth of Prophet John, according to the Divine will, and his coming of age, have been left out. Here, in one sentence, the Mission of Prophethood entrusted to him on attaining maturity has been stated, which was "to observe and follow the Torah in letter and spirit, and to exhort the Israelites as well to do the same."
[Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave meaning in Urdu
"اے یحییٰؑ! کتاب الٰہی کو مضبوط تھام لے" ہم نے اُسے بچپن ہی میں "حکم" سے نوازا
