surah Araf aya 139 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيهِ وَبَاطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ الأعراف: 139]
7:139 Indeed, those [worshippers] - destroyed is that in which they are [engaged], and worthless is whatever they were doing."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English'These people who are worshipping idols are ruined, and all of their works and devotion is false and worthless because they are worshipping other than Allah.

[Musa (Moses) added:] "Verily, these people will be destroyed for that which they are engaged in (idols-worship). And all that they are doing is in vain."
phonetic Transliteration
Inna haolai mutabbarun ma hum feehi wabatilun ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
"As to these folk,- the cult they are in is (but) a fragment of a ruin, and vain is the (worship) which they practise."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
[Musa added:] "Verily, these people will be destroyed for that which they are engaged in (idols' worship). And all that they are doing is in vain."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

These people, he said, worship dumb idols made of stone subject to min. And vain is he who puts his hope in an object of worship besides Allah
