surah Yasin aya 31 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ﴾
[ يس: 31]
36:31 Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishDid these people who deny and ridicule the messengers not see a lesson in those nations who preceded them? They passed away and did not return to the world a second time.
Rather they met the actions they had sent ahead and Allah will recompense them for that.

Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them.

Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
See they not how many generations before them we destroyed? Not to them will they return:
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them Verily, they will not return to them.
