surah Hijr aya 33 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ﴾
[ الحجر: 33]
15:33 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIblis arrogantly said: It is not proper for me to prostrate to a being You created out of dried clay that used to be black, malleable clay.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud."
phonetic Transliteration
Qala lam akun liasjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min salsalin min hamain masnoonin
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
(Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
[Iblis] said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to a human, whom You created from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud."
