surah Furqan aya 38 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا﴾
[ الفرقان: 38]
25:38 And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishI also destroyed the Ad, the people of Hud, and the Thamud, the people of Salih.
I destroyed the people of the Well and I destroyed many communities between these three.

As also 'Ad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Rass, and many a generation between them.

The only thing that may be said about them is that they were a people who had killed their Prophet by throwing him into or hanging him down a "Rass " (an old or dry well).
