43:65 But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Then, groups of the Christians disagreed in regards to Jesus.
Some of them say, “He is a god”, and some say, “He is the son of God”, and others say, “He and his mother are both gods”, so woe be to those who oppress themselves by attributing godhood to Jesus, or sonship, or saying that he is one of the Trinity! Woe be to them from a painful punishment that awaits them on the Day of Judgement.

But the sects from among themselves differed. So woe to those who do wrong (by ascribing things to 'Iesa (Jesus) that are not true) from the torment of a painful Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!
