﴿قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلَا تُرْهِقْنِي مِنْ أَمْرِي عُسْرًا﴾
[ الكهف: 73]

English - Sahih International

18:73 [Moses] said, "Do not blame me for what I forgot and do not cover me in my matter with difficulty."

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Moses ( peace be upon him ) said to Khidr: Do not take me to task on account of my breaking the pledge forgetfully and do not make it difficult and hard for me to accompany you.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

[Musa (Moses)] said: "Call me not to account for what I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my affair (with you)."

Qala la tuakhithnee bima naseetu wala turhiqnee min amree AAusran

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Moses said: "Rebuke me not for forgetting, nor grieve me by raising difficulties in my case."

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

He said: "Call me not to account for what I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my affair (with you)."
