﴿مِثْلَ دَأْبِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ ۚ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعِبَادِ﴾
[ غافر: 31]

English - Sahih International

40:31 Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Like those who disbelieved and denied the messengers, such as the people of Noah, Aad, Thamud, and those who came after them.
Allah destroyed them due to their disbelief and denial of their messengers.
And Allah does not intend to oppress the servants.
He only punishes them due to their sins.

"Like the fate of the people of Nuh (Noah), and 'Ad, and Thamud and those who came after them. And Allah wills no injustice for (His) slaves.

Mithla dabi qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim wama Allahu yureedu thulman lilAAibadi

"Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice to his Servants.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

"Like the end of the people of Nuh, and `Ad, and Thamud and those who came after them. And Allah wills no injustice for (His) servants."
