﴿فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ﴾
[ المؤمنون: 41]

English - Sahih International

23:41 So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

So a severe scream, accompanied by a severe wind, took them by surprise, due to their deserving the punishment owing to their stubbornness.
I destroyed them, leaving them like the froth of the flood.
Woe be to the transgressing nation!

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, disobedient to His Messengers, etc.).

Faakhathathumu alssayhatu bialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaan fabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!

So, the Sayhah overtook them in truth, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So, away with the people who are wrongdoers.
