surah Maidah aya 49 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
5:49 And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away - then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishJudge between them, O Messenger, in accordance with what Allah has revealed to you! Do not follow their opinions that arise from following their desires.
Be careful that they do not mislead you from some of what Allah has revealed to you.
They will leave no stone unturned in an attempt to do just that.
If they turn away from accepting judgement in accordance with what Allah has sent down to you, then know that Allah only intends to punish them for some of their sins in this world.
In the Afterlife, He will punish them for all of their sins.
There are many people who do not follow Allah’s laws.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
And so judge (you O Muhammad SAW) between them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you (O Muhammad SAW) far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's Will is to punish them for some sins of theirs. And truly, most of men are Fasiqun (rebellious and disobedient to Allah).

And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And so judge between them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's will is to punish them for some sins of theirs. And truly, most men are rebellious.

And judge O Muhammad between them in a manner consistent with the precepts revealed by Allah. And do not act upon their desires and beware of them lest they seduce you into a course of action not totally divine. And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and meaning in Urdu

- May Allah pardon you, [O Muhammad]; why did you give them permission [to remain behind]?
- Do you think that you will be left [as you are] while Allah has not
- And [by] the night when it covers it
- That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is
- Indeed in that is a sign for the believers.
- So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not
- And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,
- So where are you going?
- But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure
- That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and [because] they took
