surah Yusuf aya 61 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالُوا سَنُرَاوِدُ عَنْهُ أَبَاهُ وَإِنَّا لَفَاعِلُونَ﴾
[ يوسف: 61]
12:61 They said, "We will attempt to dissuade his father from [keeping] him, and indeed, we will do [it]."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHis brothers replied to him, saying that they would ask for him from their father, and would work hard to bring him, doing what Joseph instructed them without fail.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They said: "We shall try to get permission (for him) from his father, and verily, we shall do it."
phonetic Transliteration
Qaloo sanurawidu AAanhu abahu wainna lafaAAiloona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They said: "We shall certainly seek to get our wish about him from his father: Indeed we shall do it."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They said: "We shall try to get permission (for him) from his father, and verily, we shall do it."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
