﴿قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ﴾
[ الشعراء: 71]
26:71 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHis people said to him, “I worship idols, whose worship I remain firm upon and hold fast to.

Qaloo naAAbudu asnaman fanathallu laha AAakifeena

They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them."

They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted."
