﴿كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنبَاءِ مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ ۚ وَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكْرًا﴾
[ طه: 99]

English - Sahih International

20:99 Thus, [O Muhammad], We relate to you from the news of what has preceded. And We have certainly given you from Us the Qur'an.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Just as I related to you, O Messenger, the story of Moses, Pharaoh and their people, I relate to you the incidents of the prophets and nations before you, so that they are a solace for you.
And I have given you from Myself a Qur’ān through which those who seek reminders are reminded.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Thus We relate to you (O Muhammad SAW) some information of what happened before. And indeed We have given you from Us a Reminder (this Quran).
