Surah Al Isra ayat 38 Tafsir Quran 17:38

﴿كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ مَكْرُوهًا﴾
[ الإسراء: 38]

17:38 All that - its evil is ever, in the sight of your Lord, detested.

All of that which has been mentioned — the evil of it is hateful in the sight of your Lord.

Of all such attributes, those that have a name of evil savour stand in Allahs sight accursed and deserving of hatred

Condemnation of strutting Allah forbids His servants to strut and walk in a boastful manner: وَلاَ تَمْشِ فِى الاٌّرْضِ مَرَحًا ( And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. ) meaning, walking in boastful manner and acting proud, like those who are arrogant oppressors. إِنَّكَ لَن تَخْرِقَ الاٌّرْضَ ( Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth ) means, you cannot penetrate the earth with your walking.
This was the opinion of Ibn Jarir.

(17:38) The evil aspect of each of these Commandments is odious in the sight of your Lord. *44

All that - its evil is ever, meaning

*44) That is, " AIIah disapproves of the commission of anything that has been prohibited " or, in other words, " He disapproves of disobedience to any of these Commandments.

( The evil of all that ) from which I have prohibited you ( is hateful in the sight of thy Lord ) is bad and hateful in the sight of your Lord.

All the bad aspects of these (the above mentioned things) are hateful to your Lord.
